Leadership Domains (Part 6)

People who lean into the Relationship Building domain don’t have people skills, they have people talents. Naturally recurring patterns of thought, feeling, and/or behavior that draw them towards other people—or other people to them. Most of their world revolves around people.

In fact, if you ask a Relationship Building person to go somewhere or do something one of the first thoughts they have or questions they ask is, “who else is going?” 

Within the Relationship Building domain, people build relationships in different ways. Some are friends with everyone—no strangers just friends they haven’t met yet. Others build close and deep relationships over decades and lifetimes. Other people often say that they feel they can tell them anything or that there’s something about them that makes them feel comfortable opening up to them. “I feel like I can tell you anything.” A few of them can even tell when someone else is lying to them!
